Herb Thomas has been Instructor/Moderator of FOUR (4) Internet Seminars entitled "The New Home Equity Loans Amendment: In Depth and Highlights of the Texas Credit Code" and "Loan Documents for Texas Home Equity Loans" sponsored by CLE Online, Round Rock, Texas in December, 1997 and January, February and April, 1998 to over 130 attorneys and lenders. He is a member of the Home Equity Lending Discussion Group [organized and sponsored by Mike O'Neal of Winstead, Secrest, Minick, Dallas, Texas], consisting of all the major banks, mortgage companies, mortgage and banking industry organizations, state agencies, federal agencies, title companies and law firms concerned with shaping the future of home equity lending in Texas. He is a member of the newly-formed Consumer Finance Services Committee of the Business Law Section of the Texas Bar Association which will monitor and participate in the home equity lending developments.
